Nurture Good Relationships
We must learn to nurture the good relationships that God allows us to come into. If God has allowed someone profitable to come into our life we have to invest into them. Of course it is required to love everyone that comes into your path, but everyone is not sent your way for you to pull strength from. Proverbs 27:17 tells us that “Iron sharpens iron”, which simply means the people you keep close to you must be equally as strong as you (if not stronger) in order for you to remain as strong as you are! God always holds you to a standard to get better and never worse. The relationships that you invest your time, your prayers, and your sacrifices will always be the ones will ultimately have an effect on your future! Whether it be a friendship, love life, or a business relationship it must be nurtured in order for you to benefit from it. There may even be times where your relationship will challenge you in ways that don’t always seem favorable to you; IF IT’S WORTH HAVING, IT’S WORTH FIGHTING FOR!
Most importantly, we must all have a relationship with Jesus Christ! He is the only one who can promise to NEVER leave or forsake (give up) us! Having a relationship with Him will direct us to the people that we need to have positive relationships with. He will put people in your life who you can benefit from as well as they benefit from you. Spend time talking to Jesus (he hears your every word)! Invest time into reading your bible. Practice living out his word. What I’m trying to say is nurture your relationship with him so he can guide your decisions (Psalms 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path). The moment you do this you will start to develop other relationships with people who can make you better and challenge you to live your life on an uphill road called “BETTER”!
